Chlamydia Screening for patients aged 15-24

St. Neots surgery takes part in a free chlamydia screening programme for young people aged 15-24. The National Chlamydia Screening Programme has found out that approximately 1 in 14 young people aged under 24 years who are tested can carry chlamydia. Chlamydia is often without symptoms so a large proportion of cases remain undiagnosed, but infection can be diagnosed easily (young people can do the test themselves) and treated effectively.

You can pick up a self testing kit from your doctor or Reception without having to give your name and can choose to either send it in the post yourself or have the surgery send it to the lab direct.

Free treatment is readily available from us if the test comes back positive.

Alternatively you can order the test online here
