Community Midwives

The community midwives hold their own ante-natal clinics on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons. When pregnant, your first appointment should be made with your doctor, who will share your obstetric care with the midwife and the hospital consultant.

Community Nurses

A team of district nurses are attached to the surgery. They are based at the Cumberland Centre and can be contacted on 01752 314618 between 09:00 – 09:30 or 14:00 – 14:30, or alternatively a message can be left for them at reception.

They look after those patients who are confined to their homes, but in need of health advice and nursing care such as help with changing dressings. Referrals to them are normally made by your doctor or the hospital service.
